Web-linking Disclaimer Notice
As of December 31, 2007 we are required to provide Multifactor Verification for Internet banking. Multifactor Verification is a means of providing greater online protection. We have chosen to use a method that includes the use of the username and password, along with a list of ten challenge questions.
How it will work.
The first part of the equation is the expansion of the current password. The password is currently a minimum of four characters. With the new method, a minimum of six characters will be required. There will also be a need to have both alpha and numeric characters in the password. The password can be up to 25 characters in length. The first time you login, after installation is complete on our end, you will be prompted to change your password to this format in order to proceed.
The other part of the equation will be the list of ten challenge questions. After changing your password, you will be prompted to answer five of the ten challenge questions listed. Your answers will be saved for future logins. When you login after your initial login, the system will prompt you to answer a question that is randomly provided from the list. If the answer does not match the saved response, access to the account will be denied. Another question will be asked and the answer will be compared to the saved answer for that question. If answered correctly, access will be granted. If you answer incorrectly three times, you will be locked out of Internet Banking.
Please call Customer Service if you have any questions.
