The Thrift Credit Union has been serving railroad employees and their families since 1928. No change in owners (member owned), no change in purpose (financial cooperative), and no name change for over 80 years! How many banks in this area can make the same statement? Banks seem to come and go. Banks change owners and change names rather frequently. There is probably a reason for this. Maybe the purposes and goals the banks pursue are not sustainable; whereas, the purposes and goals pursued by our credit union have been proven to be worthy and sustainable over time.
